(She/Her)

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (I.2102824-SUPV) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. I have 10+ years of experience working with adults in inpatient, outpatient, private practice, and community settings. I treat various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, crisis, grief/loss, relationship issues, identity challenges, and major life transitions.  I also specialize in severe mood disorders, trauma, and psychotic disorders. I have experience utilizing different therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I am Level I trained in EMDR Therapy and find it to be an effective therapy for a variety of issues.

I currently serve as Regional Clinical Director of a statewide addiction and mental health organization. I also sit on the founding board of an international non-profit organization, providing care and opportunity to children and families in underserved countries. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, finding local live music, and traveling the world.

No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate

You may obtain a good faith estimate of charges upon request prior to scheduling. The No Surprises Act is a federal law which provides you with the right to a good faith estimate of the cost of services at this practice. In addition, Ohio licensing board rules require clinicians to provide you with the actual cost of charges in a written informed consent form to which you must agree prior to any billing. In most cases, it is impossible to estimate how many sessions you will need, and that will not be determined until your concerns are evaluated and will also vary based on the progress you make, which depends - in part - on your efforts with the process. You will be free to discontinue services at any time, or the services may otherwise be terminated in accordance with the informed consent form language.

The No Surprises Act states that you may initiate a dispute process if the actual charges are substantially in excess of the Good Faith Estimate charges, i.e. if you are charged $500 more than the estimated cost for a session. That is unlikely to happen and woul dbe a violation of licensing board rules, since you will be agreeing up front to actual charges per session in your informed consent prior to being seen. Any changes to fees will require a change in the informed consent form dees, which you must agree to prior to having them go into effect, otherwise the fees will remain in effect for 12 months. Dispute information is available upon request.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Before scheduling, we offer a brief 15 minute phone consultation to see if you and your therapist would be a good fit in terms of what you are seeking therapy for. You can contact us below to set this up. During the initial consultation, if you and your therapist are a good fit, they will schedule and provide further instructions for your first appointment.

HOW DOES TELEHEALTH WORK?

Due to licensing laws, clients must be physically in Ohio at the time of sessions. During the first session you and your therapist will discuss a plan in the event that the connection is interrupted.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE FIRST SESSION?

In the first session, your therapist will want to gather information about your history and how you got to this current point in life. Every person is a sum of their experiences and context is important to understand who you are. You also may have time in your first session to discuss what it is you want to work towards in therapy. Please set aside 60 minutes for your initial and ongoing sessions.

WHAT DOES THE THERAPY PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

It would be wonderful if there were a formula or manual to answer this question, but in reality, therapy looks different for every person. You and your therapist will choose a goal to work towards, but the path to get there will not be linear. Navigating the human experience is complex and difficult but it is something you will not have to figure out alone.
